By downloading, accessing, or using PrayerMap ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PrayerMap is a free, non-profit, location-based spiritual platform that enables users to:
- Share prayer requests with the community
- Respond to others' prayer requests
- Connect through private messaging
- View a map of prayer activity in their area
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use PrayerMap. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.
4. Account Registration
4.1 Account Creation
To use PrayerMap, you must create an account using email and password, or Sign in with Apple.
4.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, all activities that occur under your account, and notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use.
5. User Conduct
5.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use PrayerMap only for its intended spiritual and community-building purpose.
5.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Post hate speech, harassment, bullying, or threats
- Post sexually explicit or obscene content
- Post content promoting violence or illegal activities
- Post spam, advertisements, or promotional content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the Service
- Use automated systems to access the Service
- Collect other users' personal information without consent
6. User Content
6.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you post (prayers, responses, messages). By posting content, you grant PrayerMap a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Service.
6.2 Content Visibility
- Public prayers are visible to all PrayerMap users
- Anonymous prayers hide your identity but are still publicly visible
- Private messages are visible only to the participants
7. Privacy
Your use of PrayerMap is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Location Services
PrayerMap requires location access to function. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your location as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
Spiritual Disclaimer: PrayerMap is a platform for community prayer and support. We do not provide professional counseling, medical advice, or emergency services. If you are experiencing a crisis, please contact appropriate professional services or emergency responders.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRAYERMAP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
11. Termination
You may stop using PrayerMap at any time and delete your account through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting notice within the app and updating the "Last Updated" date.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
